The Committee Chairman congratulated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria and wished him success at his high legation in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed a large number of issues regarding Ukrainian-Austrian cooperation. Inter alia, Oleh Bilorus commented on dynamic character of relations between Ukraine and Austria and stated willingness of Ukrainian Party to actively cooperate at the level of Parliaments.
The Committee Chairman informed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on creation of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Deputy Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Austrian Republic and stated that the Committee is actively working to conclude its creation.
The Committee Chairman also informed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of renewed and extended functions of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. He stated that within the current convocation, the Committee assumed new authorities regarding legislative provision of entire foreign policy activity of Ukraine.
In his turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria stated that his country appreciates Ukraine´s entry into the European Free Trade Association and European Economic Space.
At the end of the meeting, Oleh Bilorus offered invitation to his Austrian peer to make a visit to Kyiv.
